Seasonal Food Programme addressing the need of poorest of the poor in remote and far-flung areas. Further, all beneficiaries were selected irrespective of caste and creed, based on the selection criteria like Below Poverty Line families, Women headed Household, Orphan children, disabled or elderly person in the family, pregnant and lactating women etc. Food packets were distributed to selected families which is designed to consist of the most basic required dietary food materials, as suitable for the region.
Seasonal food programs were conducted twice a year for the most needy and poor people around us. We worked systematically to choose the beneficiaries in order to reach the neediest. We take into account the family’s level of poverty, health, housing conditions, the number of people per household and monthly income etc… to ensure the packets reach the neediest, every chosen beneficiary is given a voucher number with which he/she collects the food packet. We visit them at their houses or hold distribution at a centrally located location.
